the MBB Monday Poll

1. Mood: Pretty good… had a nice, long relaxing weekend. Trying to get into the holiday spirit though… it’s been pretty tough with this highly gloomy/rainy weather we’ve had for the last few weeks. I’m thinking a nice Christmas mani might help.

2. What are your favorite holiday flicks? Love Actually and It’s A Wonderful Life.

3. What are three beauty products you find yourself buying over and over again? Argan oil for my hair, a waterproof, black drugstore eyeliner (usually Covergirl or Revlon), Mac blush in Raizin.

4. How old were you when you started using the Internet regularly? 12 or so.

5. When was the last time you saw someone from high school? I still see a lot of my friends from HS regularly… maybe 2 weeks ago.

6. When was the last time you went to a parade? Ran into a random parade in New Orleans back in October.

7. Did you do anything fun last weekend? Planted trees, went to the Armadillo Bazaar, and had drinks at The Highball.

8. One of the best books you’ve read this year? Atonement. Mindy Kaling’s Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?, and The Hunger Games series. Atonement is the best actual literature of all of those though.

9. What’s the last holiday snack you had? Peppermint bark last week.

10. Weekly goals: Give myself a Christmas mani, go to a cardio blast at my dance studio , give A his Christmas present, put up my laundry, go home and do a lot of cleaning/organizing/consolidating (donate clothes, upload CDs onto iTunes, sell old CDs and DVDs), buy ski gear for Tahoe

Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows... In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from — it’s where you take them to.”
